Teachers can create online Book Collections from the Reading Eggs library to share with their students.

These collections can include themed books, leveled reading books, or books focusing on specific phonemes.

How to create a Book Collection:

  1. From the left-hand menu, select ‘Teacher Library’, then ‘Find a book’

  2. Click the 'Book Band' drop-down option and choose the appropriate filter to select the reading ability range for your students

  3. Use the ‘Search’ box to enter the topic or subject for your collection 
     
  4. Use ‘MORE FILTERS’ to refine your search

  5. Once your filters are set and you've entered a keyword in the search box, you can view the books in the Reading Eggs library that match your criteria and add them to your collection

    Teacher Tip: Books that display the 'Resources' banner come with additional printable sheets that can be used alongside the book.
     
  6. To add a book to your collection, simply click the + sign. You can choose to add the book to a new collection or an existing one

  7. Now that you have created your collection it's ready to be shared with your class, a group of students or an individual student.  


How to share a Book Collection:

  1.  From the left-hand menu, select ‘Teacher Library’, then ‘My Collections’
     
  2.  Click on the collection you wish to share

  3. With the collection open, you can select specific titles to share or click the 'All' box to share the complete collection
     
  4. Select ‘Export CSV’ for a list of titles in your collection 
     
  5. Click ‘Share Collection’

  6. Use the filters and select the students you wish to share the collection with
     
  7. Specify start and end dates, set the duration and then click ‘Share’
     
  8. When students visit the library, they'll find the collection displayed on the librarian's desk tied up with a red ribbon. To explore and select books from the shared collection, students simply click on it.

Editing a Shared Collection:

  1. To edit or expire a Shared Collection, from the left-hand menu, select ‘Teacher Library’, then ‘Shared Collection’ 
     
  2. Select the collection you wish to edit and click ‘Edit Sharing’

  3. Edit the duration or to expire a collection, click ‘Stop Sharing’ 
     
  4. Click ‘Save Changes’ 
     
  5. To edit the content of the collection, select ‘Go to Collection’.
