2. Skills Mastered report
Reading Eggs lessons follow a specific learning sequence.
Students must master each activity before moving on to the next one and demonstrate full understanding of the lesson material in assessments before progressing further.
After a student attempts and does not pass a lesson assessment three times, they're permitted to move on to the next lesson and their teacher is notified through the ‘Skills Mastered’ report.
Teachers can find this report in the ‘Reports’ dropdown menu under the Reading Eggs and Reading Eggspress sections of the Teacher Console.
In the image, you can observe that Peter Pan skipped lessons 1–20, as determined by the placement test, marked with gray boxes.
He successfully completed the assessment for lesson 21 on the first attempt (indicated in dark green) and required two or three attempts to pass the assessment for lesson 22 (indicated in light green).
However, he did not pass the assessment for lesson 23, marked in red.
Teacher Tip: Use the Skills Mastered report to monitor student progress and organize student into groups for differentiated practice. Students who pass on their first attempt could be offered extensions or challenges. Those passing on attempts two or three may benefit from additional printable materials to reinforce their understanding. For students who do not pass, consider working with them in a small group setting.
