How do I assign students to a class in Reading Eggs?

To add existing students to a class:

  1. Log in to your 3E Teacher Dashboard.
  2. Click ‘Classes’ in the left-hand menu. 
  3. Click ‘Edit’ next to a class. 
  4. In the ‘Assign Students’ section near the bottom of the page, click on the student(s) name you'd like to add to this class. ​Students you are adding will appear in the right column.  
    (You can use the dropdown filters to find students by year level or use the search box to find a specific student.)
  5. Once you are finished adding students, click 'Update'.

To add a new student to a class:

  1. Log in to your 3E Teacher Dashboard.
  2. Click ‘Students’ in the left-hand menu. 
  3. Click ‘Create single student’.
  4. Complete the form and select the class you'd like to assign in the field ‘Assign to class' (optional).
  5. Click ‘Create’.

To add multiple new students to a class:

  1. Log in to your 3E Teacher Dashboard.
  2. Click ‘Students’ in the left-hand menu. 
  3. Click ‘Create multiple students'.
  4. Click ‘Download template’.
  5. Open the downloaded student list template and fill out the required fields.
  6. Enter the information into the table on the ‘Create student accounts’ page. You can either type this in manually, or copy and paste it from your completed template as shown below. 
  7. Click ‘Create new student accounts’.
  8. To add these students to a class, now click ‘Classes’ in the left-hand menu. 
  9. Click ‘Edit’ next to a class. 
  10. In the ‘Assign Students’ section near the bottom of the page, click on the student(s) name you'd like to add to this class. ​Students you are adding will appear in the right column.  
    (You can use the dropdown filters to find students by year level or use the search box to find a specific student.)
