The NSW Department of Education requires all K–12 students and teachers to sign in to third‑party learning platforms, including Reading Eggs, using their official NSW DoE credentials.

This article walks you through signing in on the web and in the app.

Please note: This article applies to New South Wales (Australia) public schools only. Teachers in other states and countries can continue signing in as usual.
 

Signing in on the web

Reading Eggs now includes a 'Sign in with NSW DoE' option for signing in with your NSW DoE credentials. You'll find this on the login page, below the QR code login.

1. Go to app.readingeggs.com/login
2. Click the 'Sign in with NSW DoE' button
3. You'll be taken to the NSW DoE SSO page
4. Sign in with your NSW DoE email and password 

Note: Students who are already signed in to the NSW DoE portal on their device can simply select 'Sign in with NSW DoE' in their web browser to access their account – no need to enter their credentials again. 

Signing in on the mobile app

The Reading Eggs app also supports NSW DoE SSO sign in. You'll need to access this through the 'More log in options' menu.

1. Open Reading Eggs  
2. Click 'More log in options'  
3. Select 'Sign in with NSW DoE'
4. You'll be taken to the NSW DoE SSO page  
5. Sign in with your NSW DoE email and password 

Note: If a student is already signed in to their iPad with their NSW DoE account, the app will automatically detect their session and sign them in.
